For the first time since coming to the Biennale, the German pavilion is my favorite. While almost all pavilions bombard you with details and archibabble, Germany shows what architecture and urban planning can do to help integrate refugees better. The curators removed bricks and opened the pavilion to symbolize Germany's openess. Even if this is more aspirational than reality, it's a bold statement taking a clear position on behalf of the German nation. #biennale #germany October 19, 2016 For the first time since coming to the Biennale, the German pavilion is my favorite.
